Exercising any time of the day is very beneficial to your health. So really, if you can squeeze some exercise into your day at any given point you are going to see results.
If you are an early morning exerciser…
You are more likely to keep with your exercise routine because you get it done before you start your day, before work, before friends or any other distractions.
If you are a mid-morning exerciser…
Working out mid-morning helps set you up to eat a healthy lunch as exercise curbs your body’s production of the hunger hormone called ghrelin.
If you are a lunchtime exerciser…
When you work out extra blood gets pumped to the brain bathing neurons in oxygen and nutrients. It will also improve your concentration skills by stimulating the production of chemicals and hormones.
If you are an afternoon exerciser…
Exercising in the afternoon may help you sleep better at night because it helps optimize your circadian rhythms.
If you are an evening exerciser…
Your body temperature is at its highest in the afternoon making your muscles more flexible in turn making exercise feel easier. Testosterone also peaks at the time of the day which helps boost your strength-training results.
If you are a late night exerciser…
Working out before bed can make it difficult to fall to sleep. But if you do something such as yoga before bed it will lower your cortisol levels, which will reduce anxiety making it easier for you to fall to sleep.
So as you can see, working out no matter what time of the day will still benefit you. When do you prefer to work out? I prefer to workout in the evening, although I find myself less likely to due to distractions.
